Find Grace. Learn Hope. Be Light.

Christ Church Inner West is an Anglican Church in Ashfield, Drummoyne, Five Dock and Haberfield.

What we believe

We hold to the Church’s historic statements of faith in the Apostles’, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds, as well as the Thirty-Nine Articles of Religion and the Book of Common Prayer, which together form the doctrinal foundations of the Anglican Church.

Our prayer

We pray that we would grow more and more
into fully devoted children of God,
who know, love and serve,
the Lord Jesus Christ, his church and his world,
in the power of the Holy Spirit,
to the glory of God the Father.

Our vision

In 10 years time, CCIW will be a community of Christ’s people who are...

Thriving not just surviving.
More fruitful , less fearful.
Beyond ourselves, not just for ourselves.

We prayerfully work towards this vision year by year, season by season. Find out more about our vision and where we are up to here.

Rhythms of grace

All our community life and activity is focussed on five 'rhythms of grace': patterns of life through which God works by his Holy Spirit to pour out his grace upon us, conforming us to Christ.

We gather regularly in corporate worship.
We share the life of faith in joyous fellowship.
We use our gifts to serve others in ministry.
We are rich and regular in personal devotions.
We share the hope of Jesus through gracious witness.

Our values

We seek to live out the following convictions, and to have them shape our life for God.

Grace Renewal: being Christian is grace from first to last.
Gospel Fluency: learning to speak the gospel into every every corner of our loves.
Spiritual Rhythms: intentional rhythms of grace that knead the gospel into our hearts and lives.
Full Devotion: because the more you are in Jesus, the more you are you.
Cultural Literacy & Engagement: understanding our culture and investing in doing what is good so we can speak and adorn the gospel to the people around us.
A Community of Grace: standing shoulder to shoulder, never over one another in judgment, in our striving to grow like Christ.
